NameStation for REST API and MCP
Call NameStation over MCP or plain REST with a personal API key. The OpenAPI schema imports into any tool that reads one.
Use the API when there is no person to sign in: a bot, a script, an agent framework, or a scheduled job. The REST endpoints and the MCP server share the same tools.

- 1Open Settings, then Connected apps, and create a key. Copy it then. It is not shown again.
- 2Send it as Authorization: Bearer ns_live_... to the MCP URL or to the REST API. Do not send your website session cookie.
- 3Tools that import OpenAPI, like Postman, n8n, or an agent framework, can read the schema URL below.
- 4Every REST response has ok, status, data, and error, with standard HTTP status codes.

Errors
Every response has ok, status, data, and error. Failures use standard HTTP codes.
- 400Invalid input. The error message lists the expected fields.
- 402A paid plan or the free trial is needed. The error includes trial_url.
- 403The key or app was not granted this scope.
- 429A rate limit, daily quota, or monthly cap was reached.
- 504The search ran out of time. Retry with a smaller count.

Questions
Does your bot or automation check if the domains are available?
Yes. NameStation checks every domain live against registry data before your bot or automation shows it, so a name marked available can be registered now. Names that could not be checked are labeled unchecked.
How much does NameStation cost in your bot or automation?
NameStation needs a paid plan or the free 3-day trial. You can set a monthly limit for each app or key.
How do I authenticate?
Send a personal API key from Settings, Connected apps as a Bearer token. Keys start with ns_live_ and are shown once, so store them in your bot or automation settings.
Which tools are included?
Find available domains, generate name ideas, check domains in bulk, screen names against USPTO and EUIPO trademarks, save shareable name lists, and read your plan.
